Coffee from Tarrazu accounts for 33-35% of the total coffee production in Costa Rica, with almost entirely Arabica coffee, primarily Caturra. It is one of the most famous regions in Costa Rica, produced by 900 farmers organized around the CooperDota cooperative.
This region produces coffee with distinct and refined flavors, thanks to the nutrient-rich volcanic soil and hilly terrain that create perfect conditions for growing and harvesting high-quality crops. The average temperature, just below 20°C, also provides an ideal environment for coffee plants to thrive.
This lot of coffee is grown from the Caturra variety, known for its rich flavors and mild acidity, and the Natural processing method always preserves the freshness of the coffee beans.
