Brewing coffee with a phin filter is simple, but making it delicious is an art! Brewing 20g of coffee for daily use is entirely different from brewing a large batch for a café to use over several days. Let’s discover the “secret” to making rich, flavorful phin coffee with 3C!
✅ Step 1: Preparation and Preheating First, we need to prepare the following tools:
- An aluminum phin filter (100g-200g, here we use 200g)
- A kettle for pouring water
- A scale to measure the exact amount of coffee and water
- Of course, we can’t forget Ro80+ coffee, rich and sweet Grind size: Medium coarse 📌 Key point: Preheat the aluminum phin filter with hot water before adding the coffee grounds. This helps maintain the temperature during the brewing process.
✅ Step 2: Ratio 1:5 (coffee: water) Use 200g of coffee in the aluminum phin filter with water at 95°C: The coffee will be brewed in three stages:
- 300g of water, brew for 10 minutes
- 350g of water, continue brewing for 10 minutes
- 350g of water and wait for the coffee to finish dripping Café owners can adjust the amount of coffee and water according to the phin’s capacity, ensuring the 1:5 ratio is maintained!
✅ Step 3: Cooling After brewing, the coffee should be cooled for 8 hours to achieve the best flavor. The 8-hour cooling period helps the coffee develop a thicker texture and brings out prominent flavor notes, creating a richer taste.
